In Loving Memory
Along the way, we have the opportunity to meet wonderful souls.
Reese 2000-2015
Our dear, sweet Reese, we miss you. We love you.
Reese's Bio:
Reese was a recurring rescue horse. First from financial hardship, the second by divorce and lastly because of her permanent disabilities. She came to BHR very overweight, with the intention of being a lesson horse. To get her started in her new life outside of a paddock, she was put on a walk-jog regimen for 6 weeks before starting in the saddle. She continued to experience lameness after slow walks and was never comfortable even after chiro-work, ice/binding, massage therapy, and was in need of recurring stall confinement due to lameness and swelling.
All the equine vet support we've partnered with over the years confirmed that Reese would never be without pain or discomfort, unable to overcome her lameness. The decision was incredibly heartbreaking for us all. RIP dear, sweet soul.
